Light House Shelter’s Bountiful Harvest

On a chilly fall evening in November the Friends of the Light House Shelter held their 23rd annual Bountiful Harvest Gala. Hosted at the Bistro at South River in Edgewater Maryland, the event raises money and awareness for the Light House Shelter and its ancillary programs. The Light House shelter helps rebuild lives with compassion by providing shelter and services to prevent homelessness and empower people as they transition toward self-sufficiency.

This year the event brought a packed house, inspiring food, and an array of desirable silent and live auction items. The evening started with a pre-event wine, beer, and scotch tasting coordinated by Bay Ridge Wine & Spirits, featuring Ewan Morgan Master of Whiskey for Diageo, Nate & Andrea O’Shea from Great Frogs Vineyard, and Trevor Bogert with Katcef Brothers. Local chefs, caterers, and culinary organizations later joined the party and provided guests with a bountiful selection of gourmet and seasonal inspired delights.

We would like to tip our hats to the following people, businesses, and organizations who contributed to satisfying our taste buds throughout the evening and making the event a success food forward affair.
